Dr. Stacey Scanlon
Stacey (Dietrich) Scanlon is the newest addition to the Nazareth Veterinary Center. Stacey’s love of animals began at a young age. She grew up on her family’s dairy farm in New Tripoli, PA and learned quickly about the miracle of life and the tragedy of death. After losing her two dogs, Radar and Charlotte, and 4-H cow, Flower, to cancer, she decided to devote her life to helping animals and their owners. To achieve this goal, she obtained her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences at Penn State University and her veterinary degree at The Ohio State University. She began initially as a dairy veterinarian working in the heart of Wisconsin, but decided to switch to dogs and cats because she missed the strong bond people have with their pets. In order to be the best small animal veterinarian she could be, she did an emergency internship at the Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center, a busy emergency and referral center outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She decided to move back to PA a few years ago. She was most recently working as an emergency veterinarian at Valley Central Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Whitehall and worked at ABE Veterinary Hospital in Allentown prior to that. Outside of work, she is a Lehigh County 4-H Dairy Club Leader and enjoys spending time with her husband and step son. Please join us in welcoming her to our clinic!!
